In this research, design, performance calculation, and optimization were performed for a dry tower attachment to create a hybrid cooling system. The aim was to improve performance and reduce tower construction costs using genetic algorithm optimization. Previous studies were reviewed to determine the relevant parameters. For the target power plant, the dry tower's physical parameters were calculated, and cost-related mathematical relationships were analyzed and extracted. In this project, the mathematical relationships related to the cost function were explained, and by considering the cost function as the optimization goal, the dry tower attachment process was optimized. A thermal model was used for optimization, and the results showed the possibility of reducing tower construction costs by adjusting water consumption parameters in dry cooling towers.
