چکیده مقاله:
Lotus flower conveys different meanings in different geographical cultures, art and architectures. The manner and environment of growth of this plant as place along with its shape, has made possible transfer of deep meanings by this plant and has made it an important symbol in cultures of the lands as human relationship. Information about lotus presence in various texts such as religious texts, literary texts, visual arts, designers and structures of architectures were collected at different ages and in different places. Not only the bionic symbol of lotus has been used in literature, religion, art and architecture of different countries from ancient times, including China, India, Iran to Egypt and Greece, but also its functions proceed because of its special geometry to this day as space. Lotus, as a symbol with its special characteristics in terms of how and environment of growth and form has become an archetype and subsequently over the centuries have been observed in different societies, on design, culture, religion, architecture and painting. The question of the article is based on Van Manen and how lotus has been as a lived bionic archetype?
