چکیده مقاله:

Sustainable architecture has existed in Iranian architecture since the distant past, and architects always tried to build buildings according to the principles of sustainability and harmony with the environment. Many installation elements such as qanat, yakh-chal, water mills, windmills, central courtyards, etc. have indicated the architects' attention to the concept of sustainability. With the reduction of fossil fuel resources and the increase of fuel consumption, sustainable architecture and the use of renewable energy sources such as sun and wind have been proposed once again. The results of the article indicated: by enlarging the south windows, increasing greenhouses or atriums and warm air tunnels, using natural light for lighting and other measures, solar energy can be used in buildings. Also, in order to take advantage of the natural flow of air from the wind energy, it is possible to use transverse ventilation in the building, use of ceiling ventilators, horizontal surface air flow, and one-way ventilation in certain elements for cooling.
