Studying the relationship between substance use tendencies and maladaptive schemas in students

The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between substance use tendencies and maladaptive schemas in students. The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method, correlational. The statistical population included all undergraduate students studying in the Faculty of Humanities, Islamic Azad University, North Tehran Branch. The sampling method was available and the sample size was ۳۸۵ people according to Morgan's table. The Farjad Addiction Tendency Questionnaire (۲۰۰۶) and Young's Primary Maladaptive Schemas Questionnaire (۲۰۰۵) were used to collect data. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (regression analysis, correlation coefficient) were used to analyze the data. The results of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between maladaptive schemas and substance use tendencies, and as the number of maladaptive schemas increases in students, the tendency to use substances also increases among them.The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between substance use tendencies and maladaptive schemas in students.
