چکیده مقاله:
This paper presents a seismic risk assessment of masonry buildings in the old fabric of Behbahan city, employing a rapid qualitative method to evaluate structural vulnerabilities. The study involved the selection of ۱۰۰ masonry buildings, followed by a probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA) to determine site-specific peak ground acceleration (PGA) values. A qualitative assessment was conducted using ten key parameters derived from Standard ۲۸۰۰, allowing for the identification of vulnerability levels across various structures. The results revealed significant variations in seismic risk, with PGA values ranging from ۰.۲۰ to ۰.۳۹, indicating that certain buildings are at a higher risk of damage during seismic events. Key factors influencing vulnerability included building quality, structural characteristics, and soil type. According to this research, more than ۵۰ percent of buildings are at risk of extensive damage and collapse in a design earthquake. The findings highlight the need for targeted retrofitting and renovation efforts to enhance the resilience of the built environment in Behbahan. This study underscores the importance of systematic seismic risk assessments in urban areas, providing actionable insights for policymakers and urban planners. By prioritizing interventions based on identified vulnerabilities, stakeholders can improve community safety and resilience against future seismic hazards. Further research is recommended to monitor changes over time and refine assessment methodologies for improved predictive capabilities.
