Clay soils often cause many problems for various construction projects. Therefore, the stabilization of clay using different additives has always been the focus of researchers and engineers. On the other hand, today, the use of waste materials in soil stabilization has been considered due to their economic potential. For this purpose, in this research, the effect of rubber powder on the swelling pressure of clay soils (composition of ۷۰% kaolinite and ۳۰% bentonite) will be investigated. Indicator and mechanical tests were performed on soil with ۰, ۵, ۱۰, ۱۵, ۲۰ and ۳۰ percent of rubber powder in different dimensions in three groups A, B and C. According to the results of the research, the swelling index of the samples mixed with ۱۵% rubber crumb is less than the pure clay, and with the increase of the amount of rubber crumb from ۱۵% to ۳۰%, the swelling index increases.
