چکیده مقاله:
Since ages, philosophers, literary men, and clergymen had different positive or negative viewpoints towards death and after-life. John Donne, the English metaphysical poet, has shown a positive and runty view of death in his various works and especially in his sonnet number 10 called death, be not proud ; and using paradox, has asked death to die. Also, Fereydoon Moshiri, the Iranian contemporary poet, in addition to his opposing positive and negative views in his various works, has shown a special enthusiasm towards death and after-life, and regards death as a sweet sleep in his poem why fear death? , which is an adoption from Donne's above mentioned sonnet. Now one wonders, in spite of mankind's attempts in various works and by several manners during the history to represent death so runty, even so sweet like an sleep, and to represent the after-life as positive and as man's primary purpose and solace, then how is it that the very same people have shown or even declared their dismay and dread in front of this dark and mysterious phenomenon in later times?Maybe one of the unconscious reasons for the grace of life is nothing but the same fear of death and unfamiliarity of the world after death. Maybe by having faith in Ma'ad (the true life after death), and God's justice, one can best cure all these sufferings
