چکیده مقاله:

Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs), a fascinating convergence of magnetism and nanotechnology, exhibit unique size-dependent properties. As their dimensions dwindle into the nanometer range, their magnetic, optical, and electronic characteristics undergo significant transformations, making them highly attractive for a wide spectrum of research endeavors. This review comprehensively examines the multifaceted world of MNPs, encompassing their synthesis, characterization, and diverse applications within the biomedical field. The review commences with a concise overview of the primary methods employed in the synthesis of MNPs, including chemical, physical, and biological approaches. Subsequently, it delves into the critical aspects of characterizing these nanoparticles, focusing on techniques that elucidate their size, shape, surface properties, and magnetic behavior. The core of this review lies in exploring the vast potential of MNPs in biomedical applications. These applications span a broad spectrum, including targeted drug delivery, hyperthermia for cancer treatment, tissue engineering, and contrast enhancement in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The review concludes by emphasizing the ongoing need for rigorous research and development to fully unlock the immense potential of these versatile nanoparticles and translate their promise into impactful clinical applications.
