In this paper a new zero voltage transition (ZVT) interleaved boost converter is proposed. The main switch turning off under the zero voltage (ZV) condition and turning on under the zero voltage zero current (ZVZC) condition. Also the auxiliary switch is switched under the zero voltage zero current (ZVZC) condition. In the proposed converter, current and voltage stresses on the semiconductor elements is low. This reduces the conduction losses due to the interleaving of the two boost converter and the division of power between these two converters. Furthermore because of the soft switching condition that is provided for all semiconductor elements, the efficiency is increased. In this paper the operation is analyzed theoretically. The proposed converter is simulated by ORCAD software and simulation results are compared with theoretical waveforms. To verify the theoretical and simulation results, the proposed converter is designed and a ۴۰۰W prototype is constructed. So the efficiency comparison shows ۲% improvement at the nominal load in comparison with hard switching counterpart.
