چکیده مقاله:

Liver transplantation is the leading treatment for liver cirrhosis, no matter the cause. Immunosuppressive drugs reduce organ rejection but increase cancer risk, including skin, colorectal, oral cancers and post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLDs) like acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Most PTLD cases are linked to Epstein-Barr virus, with a ۲۰% risk after organ transplants. AML in transplant recipients is challenging, with risks like septicemia and high mortality, causing early death in about ۲۵% of cases. We are reporting a ۳۶-year-old man with AML, nine years after his liver transplant for cryptogenic cirrhosis. His youth and complex diagnosis make his case particularly interesting.
