چکیده مقاله:

End-of-life care is a comprehensive approach to reducing suffering and pain in patients with advanced diseases (۱) in addition to relieving physical pain (۲) also helps to improve the quality of life of patients and their families (۳). In the present era, the use of telecare as one of the strategies for developing palliative care is of particular importance (۴). Telecare palliative care has advantages such as easy access to medical services, symptom management and monitoring of patient's condition, reducing costs and saving time, emotional and psychological support, and educating and empowering patients (۵, ۶) Despite the many advantages, there are also challenges, such as lack of access to technology and ethical and legal issues, that need to be considered. For this purpose, there is a need to understand this type of care better than ever. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the role of telecare in providing end -of-life care.
