Introduction: Vitamin D deficiency has become a global epidemic, even in tropical countries. Considering the significant increase in vitamin D deficiency and its role in women's health, as well as the diseases and complications caused by its deficiency, vitamin D deficiency is undoubtedly one of the most important health priorities. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of education based on the health belief model on the consumption of vitamin D supplements in middle-aged women referring to Ahvaz health centers. Methods and Materials: This study was conducted on ۷۰ middle-aged women referring to health centers in Ahvaz who were facing vitamin D deficiency. People were divided into two groups of ۳۵ people (experimental and control group). Education based on the health belief model was implemented for the test group. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS ۲۶ statistical software and significance Pearson's correlation coefficient, chi-square, independent and paired t tests at the level of ۰.۰۵ significance. Results: The two groups were homogeneous in demographic variables before the intervention. The average age of the participants was ۴۰.۲ with a standard deviation of ۷.۷ years. The mean score of vitamin D supplement consumption behavior after the educational intervention showed a significant difference in the two groups.
