چکیده مقاله:

Emerging technologies in telemedicine have revolutionized healthcare access, especially in rural and underserved communities. These innovations address barriers like geographical distance, limited specialist availability, and time constraints, offering cost-effective, patient-centered care solutions. Telemedicine showed significant potential in addressing the shortage of healthcare providers in rural areas. E-consults facilitated expedited, problem-focused care, reducing in-person consultation wait times by up to ۱.۵ days. Synchronous and asynchronous systems demonstrated comparable effectiveness to in-person visits in managing chronic conditions like asthma, while offering cost-saving and convenience benefits. Emerging tools like wearable technology and remote patient monitoring further enhanced outcomes by providing real-time data on patient health. Patient satisfaction with telemedicine ranged between ۹۵-۱۰۰%, with reduced travel time and costs being key drivers. Provider satisfaction was contingent on reliable technology, administrative support, and adequate reimbursement. Emerging technologies in telemedicine are transforming rural healthcare by improving access, reducing costs, and enhancing patient outcomes. These tools hold promise for reshaping the interaction between patients and providers. However, addressing challenges like technology reliability, training, and equitable access is crucial for widespread adoption.
