چکیده مقاله:

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effects of Chlorella species supplementation on cardiovascular and metabolic health outcomes. Thirty-three studies, published between ۱۹۷۵ and ۲۰۲۴, were included, involving ۱,۳۰۴ participants with interventions lasting from ۱ to ۲۴ weeks and Chlorella spp. dosages ranging from ۱۳۵ mg/day to ۱۵,۰۰۰ mg/day. Chlorella supplementation led to significant reductions in body fat, body mass index, weight, waist-to-hip ratio, systolic blood pressure, homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance, insulin, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, total cholesterol, alanine transaminase, aspartate aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, malondialdehyde, and leptin. Additionally, there were significant increases in high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and catalase.
