چکیده مقاله:

Degradable domestic waste source separation challenges encompass the difficulties faced in effectively segregating biodegradable waste from non-biodegradable materials at the point of generation. This practice is essential for improving waste management processes, reducing landfill use, and promoting environmental sustainability. As communities strive to implement source separation strategies, various obstacles arise, including contamination issues, public awareness deficits, regulatory inconsistencies, and technological constraints, which collectively hinder the effectiveness of waste management systems. The significance of addressing these challenges lies in the growing emphasis on sustainable waste management practices, particularly as urbanization increases and waste generation rises globally. Effective source separation can lead to higher-quality compost production and enhanced recycling rates, contributing to a circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with waste decomposition in landfills. In summary, the challenges of degradable domestic waste source separation highlight the need for comprehensive strategies that involve community engagement, technological innovation, and robust regulatory frameworks. Addressing these obstacles is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of waste management practices and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within communities.
