Comparison of Diffusion of Near Field Communication Technology in Mobile Phone and Electronic Payment Card Technology Using System Dynamics Approach

According to the Central Bank of Iran statistics, around ۳۰۰,۰۰۰ electronic bank cards have been issued and made available to people. Based on this, the number of cards available to each user is estimated to be between ۴ and ۶. On the other hand, Near-field communication technology has been unveiled by some banks and financial institutions in the country, and some store card readers have also been equipped with this technology; despite many efforts, "near-field communication" technology for mobile phone-based payments has not been developed. In this research, the state of diffusion of near-field communication technology in the mobile phone-based payment system and its comparison with the technology of electronic payment cards from ۲۰۲۳ (۱۴۰۲ In Persian) to ۲۰۴۱(۱۴۲۰ In Persian) have been investigated and evaluated. The results show the growth of near-field communication technology and the significant decrease in electronic payment card technology.
