چکیده مقاله:
This review addresses the medicinal uses and phytochemical properties of Withania coagulans, a plant known for its therapeutic benefits, especially its sedative, antibacterial and anticancer effects. The study begins with a discussion of the importance of medicinal plants in modern medicine and highlights the historical use of Withania coagulans in the treatment of various diseases. Furthermore, this paper reviews the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from the plant extract and describes the methods used for characterization including UV-visible spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The obtained silver nanoparticles exhibit significant antioxidant activity, as demonstrated by their effectiveness in scavenging free radicals in a DPPH assay. This dual focus on the medicinal properties of the plant and the innovative use of its extract for the synthesis of nanoparticles highlights the potential of integrating traditional knowledge with modern nanotechnology to achieve therapeutic advancements.
