چکیده مقاله:
A thorough investigation into the relationship between soil moisture and precipitation using the Antecedent Precipitation Index (API) reveals multiple facets of the interaction and implications for hydrological modeling and environmental management, also rangelands in natural resources. The API serves as an essential metric, providing a systematic way to understand how preceding precipitation affects soil moisture levels, which in turn can influence future precipitation events. In conclusion, the relationship between soil moisture and precipitation, mediated by the Antecedent Precipitation Index, is multifaceted and heavily influenced by environmental context, past precipitation events, and land-atmosphere dynamics. The utility of the API continues to prove invaluable in enhancing our understanding of these interactions, particularly as challenges posed by climate change necessitate more refined predictive modeling approaches. As research progresses, emphasis on integrating various methodologies, such as remote sensing and holistic hydrological modeling grounded in API principles, will be key to overcoming existing challenges. These collective efforts can enhance our capacity to predict and manage critical water resources, aligning with sustainable agricultural, environmental management objectives and topics related to rangeland management in the form of modern rangeland sciences and engineering.
