چکیده مقاله:
The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) offers significant potential for enhancing healthcare monitoring and improving treatment outcomes, especially for chronic diseases. By utilizing individual data-driven treatment plans and optimizing devices to meet specific physiological needs, IoMT technology promotes personalized care and can elevate patients' living standards. This article examines how IoMT devices are utilized to monitor and manage various chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer, ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality of life. A major advantage of IoMT is its capacity for proactive healthcare management. Unlike traditional methods that react to health issues after they occur, IoMT enables continuous monitoring and early detection of complications, which is particularly beneficial for chronic conditions where timely interventions can make a difference. IoMT devices, such as wearable sensors, automate treatment processes by collecting real-time health data. For example, these devices can monitor vital signs and glucose levels in diabetic patients, allowing for immediate adjustments to medications or lifestyle recommendations. This personalization enhances treatment effectiveness and empowers patients to engage actively in their health management. However, challenges remain in the implementation of IoMT. Data privacy concerns and the risk of cyberattacks on sensitive health information pose significant threats. Additionally, interoperability issues arise from the lack of standardized data formats among manufacturers, complicating device integration and data aggregation. Despite these hurdles, advancements in IoMT continue to show promise for transforming chronic disease management. With ongoing innovation aimed at addressing existing barriers, IoMT has the potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery, making it more efficient and accessible while improving overall health outcomes and quality of life for patients worldwide.
