چکیده مقاله:

Currently, one of the most prevalent methods for the removal of heavy metals from aqueous solutions in industry is the use of membranes. In this study, a sorbent known as pyrrole has been employed to enhance the efficacy of polysulfone membranes in the removal of nickel metal ions from water. A significant aspect of this research is the synthesis method of the polysulfone membrane, which is achieved through surface polymerization. The experiments were conducted under neutral pH conditions and at ambient temperature in a batch system, utilizing varying initial pollution levels. The chemical structure of the membrane was identified and analyzed using water contact angle (WCA) measurements and surface morphology assessment via field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). Consequently, it can be concluded that polypyrrole forms on the pure membrane and possesses the capability to remove nickel ions from aqueous solutions. The objective of this research is to investigate the impact of initial pollution concentration on the polypyrrole adsorbent membrane, and it was observed that the removal percentage decreased with an increase in the initial concentration of nickel pollution.
