چکیده مقاله:

Greenhouse gases (GHGs) are the gases in the atmosphere that raise the surface temperature of planets such as the Earth. What distinguishes them from other gases is that they absorb the wavelengths of radiation that a planet emits, resulting in the greenhouse effect. The Earth is warmed by sunlight, causing its surface to radiate heat, which is then mostly absorbed by greenhouse gases. Without greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, the average temperature of Earth's surface would be about −۱۸ °C (۰ °F), rather than the present average of ۱۵ °C (۵۹ °F). The urgency of addressing climate change has intensified the need for accurate measurement and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. This paper explores the critical role of innovative measurement techniques, particularly the integration of blockchain technology, in enhancing data transparency and accountability in emissions reporting. Traditional methods of emissions measurement often suffer from limitations related to accuracy, reliability, and accessibility. This study highlights the evolution of measurement practices, emphasizing the importance of adopting advanced technologies such as remote sensing, IoT devices, and blockchain to improve data integrity and security. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized and tamper-proof nature, offers a promising solution for ensuring the authenticity of emissions data. By facilitating real-time tracking and verification of emissions, blockchain enhances stakeholder confidence and encourages corporate responsibility. Furthermore, transparent data sharing empowers communities to engage in climate action and hold industries accountable for their environmental impact. The paper also addresses the challenges and limitations associated with implementing new measurement technologies, including technical barriers, policy constraints, and data management issues. It emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts among governments, industries, and technology providers to overcome these obstacles and promote the widespread adoption of innovative measurement practices. In conclusion, the integration of advanced measurement techniques and blockchain technology is essential for improving the accuracy and transparency of greenhouse gas emissions reporting. By fostering a culture of accountability and encouraging data-driven decision-making, these innovations can significantly contribute to global efforts in mitigating climate change and achieving sustainable development goals.
