The city, as the most complex artifact created by human hands, necessitates management that encompasses a broad understanding and complexity. Nowadays, city management has evolved. Cities are managed for the welfare and comfort of the citizens. Urban management plays a crucial role in the success of urban development plans and projects. This issue is particularly significant in the context of urban development. Sustainable development involves offering alternatives to the conventional physical, social, and economic development model. This approach can help prevent problems like the depletion of natural resources, ecosystem destruction, social injustices, pollution, rapid population growth, and the deterioration of human life quality. This research is of an applied nature, utilizing a descriptive-analytical research method. Information was collected through library and field methods. Finally, this research examines the concept of urban management and the relationship between sustainable development and urban management.
