This research investigates how AI-enhanced gamification affects student motivation and learning retention in science subjects for high school students in Iran. By employing a mixed-methods strategy, we gathered data from ۲۰۰ students through surveys and engaged in detailed interviews with teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of gamified learning. The use of AI tools, including personalized feedback and adaptive challenges, significantly boosted student engagement and enthusiasm for learning. Our quantitative analysis showed a notable increase in learning retention, with participants indicating improved understanding and recall of scientific ideas. Additionally, qualitative insights pointed to better classroom interactions and a positive change in students' perceptions of learning. These findings indicate that the incorporation of AI-enhanced gamification in education could transform conventional teaching practices, creating a more interactive and enriching learning environment. This research adds to the expanding field of educational technology, providing valuable perspectives for educators and decision-makers who seek to enhance science education outcomes.
