چکیده مقاله:

The primary objective of this study is to examine the representation of women in the works of Sadegh Tabrizi and Mahin Azima from the perspective of Linda Nochlin. The research aims to identify common representations of women and explore other portrayals within these artworks. This study also evaluates the impact of these representations on viewers and readers. Utilizing Nochlin's theories, the research identifies two primary types of representations: the traditional woman, subservient to men and confined to domestic roles, and the modern woman, seeking independence and equality. The analysis reveals that these representations reflect the prevailing beliefs and societal norms in contemporary Iran. The findings indicate that these depictions can shape public perceptions of women's roles in society. The research concludes that the representation of women in Tabrizi and Azima's works is a multifaceted subject, significantly contributing to the discourse on gender roles and their visual portrayal in Iranian art.
