Grammar Translation Method: Is it Still Usable Today ?

The translator must be able to recognize temporal, spatial, and syntactic differences and reflect them correctly in the translation. In addition, some grammatical structures may differ in different languages, and this is where grammatical knowledge helps to achieve a smooth and natural translation. Grammar translation also helps the translator to be accurate in style and tone. Languages have their own characteristics that may require adaptation to the culture and standards of that language. For this reason, simply getting the literal meaning is not enough, and attention should also be paid to sentence structure and expression. Although translation tools are improving day by day and may be highly efficient, grammar translation as a fundamental method is still of great importance for achieving high quality and accuracy in translation and cannot be ignored.
