Granites that create heat are abundant in the UK, especially in Cornwall, suggestingenvironmentally friendly energy generating. United Downs Deep Geothermal Power(UDDGP) aims to prove the technological and commercial viability of Cornish geothermalenergy. This will be done by using the Porthtowan Fault Zone's inherent permeability. At theend of ۲۰۱۸, the first well was drilled, and the facility is expected to open by mid-۲۰۲۰. Thetopic of whether deep geothermal energy is environmentally friendly is crucial. This articleprovides a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment study that identifies the primary life-cyclesources of environmental impacts associated with electricity production at the UDDGP plant,investigates the impact of critical uncertainties, such as geothermal fluid availability and powerplant configuration, on environmental impacts, and compares UDDGP operations, an Tocomplete the life cycle inventory, site-specific well construction data and literature data forabove-ground facilities and stimulation methods must be synthesized. We validated our modelby comparing UDDGP's climate change effects to earlier enhanced geothermal systemresearch. Our research suggests that construction has the greatest environmental impact. Theseeffects are usually caused by well casing steel and drilling gasoline. The scenario analysis alsorecommends that increasing facility capacity and cogenerating heat and power are the bestapproaches to maximize environmental performance. Our study found that stimulatinggeothermal wells could raise environmental impacts by ۳۵%. UDDGP outperforms solar, wind,and nuclear energy in climate change. Because geothermal energy's environmental advantagesare complex, trade-offs must be considered when quantifying other effect categories.
