چکیده مقاله:

This study investigates and compares the impact of various FACTS (Flexible AC TransmissionSystems) devices, specifically SVC (Static VAR Compensator), STATCOM (Static SynchronousCompensator), TCSC (Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor), and UPFC (Unified Power FlowController), on improving the stability of a sample power network. The primary objective is to enhancethe stability of the network under different operational conditions, including nominal and peak loadscenarios. The results demonstrate that UPFC consistently outperforms the other FACTS devices interms of efficiency, effectively mitigating the magnitude and intensity of voltage fluctuations. Thiscapability enables a quicker damping of oscillations, leading to significant improvements in overallpower system stability. The findings underscore the superiority of UPFC in enhancing the performanceof electrical networks, particularly during critical operating conditions.
