Afif-Abad Garden, located in Shiraz, Iran, exemplifies the harmonious integration of Persian architecture and nature through biophilic design principles. Originally established during the Safavid era and revitalized in the Qajar period, the garden reflects centuries of Persian cultural values and aesthetic ideals. This study employs a multidisciplinary approach, combining historical analysis, field studies, and biophilic design theory to explore how Afif-Abad Garden exemplifies the timeless relationship between architecture, nature, and human well-being. Findings highlight the garden’s ability to create a tranquil microclimate and its innovative use of water, greenery, and spatial harmony to foster psychological and emotional benefits. The study also examines how the garden’s principles influence contemporary sustainable architecture and urban planning, demonstrating the enduring relevance of Persian design. By preserving cultural heritage while addressing modern challenges, Afif-Abad Garden serves as a model for integrating traditional aesthetics with biophilic principles to promote environmental harmony and human connection to nature. This research underscores the significance of Persian gardens in inspiring sustainable and holistic design practices globally.
