چکیده مقاله:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is recognized as a transformative force in the construction industry, significantly enhancing project management efficiency. This technology allows engineers, architects, and contractors to create a digital model of buildings, including all details and specifications. These models not only facilitate the design and construction process but also improve collaboration among the various stakeholders involved in the project. With the use of BIM, all project team members can access updated and accurate information, enabling quicker and more precise decision-making. This is particularly important in large and complex projects that involve numerous stakeholders and various variables. Furthermore, BIM aids in identifying and resolving issues before the construction phase begins, thereby preventing extra costs and delays in project timelines. However, alongside the significant advantages of BIM, there are also challenges in its implementation. One of these challenges is the need to train and educate the workforce to effectively use BIM tools. Many contractors and construction companies still operate with traditional methods, and transitioning to a digital system requires cultural and structural changes. Additionally, the initial costs associated with BIM software and hardware can be a barrier for some companies. On the other hand, the existence of various standards and the lack of integration between different BIM systems can create problems in information exchange and collaboration among companies. Nevertheless, given the numerous benefits of BIM in improving the outcomes of construction projects, stakeholder collaboration, and increasing productivity, investing in this technology can become a necessity. Recent studies have shown that companies that have adopted BIM have been able to significantly reduce their project time and costs while increasing customer satisfaction. In summary, BIM is not only a technological tool but also a new approach to managing construction projects that can lead to improved processes and outcomes.
