This paper presents a hybrid anti-islanding detection method that integrates passive and active techniques to improve detection accuracy, reduce non-detection zones (NDZ), and ensure rapid islanding identification. The method leverages positive and negative sequence voltage components while incorporating an active load-switching strategy when passive methods alone are insufficient. The proposed hybrid method achieves high-speed, accurate, and cost-effective islanding detection. Its adaptability makes it suitable for various DG connection configurations, ensuring reliable operation in real-world power systems
