The Necessities, Barriers, and Requirements of Artificial Intelligence as a Knowledge Management Tool in Digital Transformation

This article aims to identify the requirements, necessities, and effective mechanisms of artificial intelligence as a knowledge management tool in digital transformation, and how each of these factors impacts the process of using AI as a knowledge management tool in digital governance. The current research attempts, first, to construct a theoretical framework for examining the necessities, barriers, and requirements affecting the aforementioned process through a comprehensive systematic literature review and by relying on the grounded theory approach, as well as the results of ۱۹ in-depth interviews with ۹ managers and experts from a private organization in Isfahan province. Based on this framework, a wide range of factors influencing the process was categorized into three main categories: necessities, barriers, and requirements of artificial intelligence as a knowledge management tool in digital transformation. Finally, the mechanism of artificial intelligence as a knowledge management tool in digital governance is presented.
