چکیده مقاله:

Crop yield is significantly influenced by plant growth and development, both of which are directly impacted by various climatic variables and crop management practices. Therefore, it is crucial to comprehend how climate variables affect the yield and growth of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.). We conducted a study to characterize the impact of climate factors on rapeseed agronomic and yield traits under well-watered (WW) and drought stress (DS) conditions over three growing seasons. A significant variation was observed among the rapeseed genotypes for all traits under WW and DS conditions. Our findings revealed that under WW conditions, thousand seed weight, seed yield, and the branch number/plant showed a strong association with mean precipitation. In addition, relative humidity and the minimum temperature had the nearest association with days to flowering and silique length, respectively. Under DS, mean precipitation, relative humidity means, and minimum temperature showed associations with both the days to flowering and days to silique development. Analysis of the interrelationship of traits by PCA exhibited that water availability was the main determinant of the SY, THSW, SNPS, and SL accompanied with lower temperatures during seed development. The study successfully dissected the effect of year-related climatic variables on the agronomical traits in rapeseed.
