چکیده مقاله:

In this study, researchers synthesized ZnO, CuO, and ZnCuO۲ nanoparticles (NPs) from metal nitrates and walnut shells, utilizing a thermal decomposition method followed by open-air calcination. Core/shell nanoparticles, ZnO@CuONPs, and CuO@ZnONPs were also created by impregnating metal oxide NPs with metal nitrate solutions and subsequent calcination. Characterization of the nanoparticles was performed using powder X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), SEM elemental mapping, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, revealing average sizes of less than ۴۰ nm for all synthesized NPs. Ulcerative colitis (UC), a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the colon and rectum, disrupts inflammatory homeostasis and intestinal barrier functions, leading to tissue damage and immune activation. Current UC treatments face challenges such as rapid clearance and low bioavailability, necessitating improved drug delivery methods. Metallic NPs have shown promising therapeutic efficacy against colitis.
