Investigation on the Effect of Picking Mechanism on Physical and Color Properties of Polyester Woven Fabrics

In this study, investigated on the physical and color properties of polyester woven fabrics used two picking mechanisms with the same weaving parameters, projectile and rapier, then fabrics dyed with black disperse dyes and finished. The Experimental results showed that the weft tenacity for rapier weaving similar to projectile weaving, therefore the picking mechanism had no effect on the physical properties of the fabric. The positions of color in CIELab coordinates of the samples dyed and compared to those dyed. It was found that the differences in dye efficiency obtained was the same for both samples. Also, no difference in comfort, hand and etc, was seen.
