Synthesis of Pearl Pigments based on Muscovite -Au-Hematite nanolayers

Mica-based pearlescent pigments are widely applied in trends in fashion, plastics, cosmetics, automobiles coatings, automotive and other consumer markets, pigments that generate special effects like angle-dependent color have a growing economic significance and can be found in various industrial products and end-user applications, but they seem to be not explored by the ceramic industry. In this research, the synthesis potential of special effect pigments in the decoration of ceramic tiles was synthesized by organic sol-gel method and testing them into at least ۲ compositions coating on mica then fired one hour in ۸۰۰-۶۰۰◦C range of temperatures in the furnace. The pigments were characterized by FTIR, SEM and colorimetric parameters, Effect coating pigment particles and the orientation behavior of mica and their thickness have been investigated.
