چکیده مقاله:
Rapid growth energy demand and environmentally concerns have led to renewable energy sources. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) as new technology were employed for green energy preparation. The chemical structure engineering of photosensitizers acts a very important role in photovoltaic devices such as dye-sensitized solar cells. Thus, a new photo-sensitizer was engineered and synthesized for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). For this end, indigo was selected as base structure and cyanoacrylic acid was used as anchoring group. The thioindoxyle was employed as starting material and organic dye was prepared using standard reaction. All prepared intermediates and dye were identified using analytical method. The CV technique and DFT were utilized for studying of injection procedure in photovoltaic device. The results show that the synthesized photosensitizer have electron rotation as thermodynamically. Two nanoparticles, TiO۲ and ZnO were used for photoanode layer preparation. Finally, the DSSCs devices were prepared based on synthesized dyes and ZnO or TiO۲. Overall, the results show that the power conversion efficiency of the DSSCs-based on ZnO is lower than that TiO۲.
