چکیده مقاله:

Rapid growth energy demand and environmentally concerns have led to renewable energy sources. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) as new technology were employed for green energy preparation. The chemical structure engineering of photosensitizers acts a very important role in photovoltaic devices such as dye-sensitized solar cells. For this end, two organic dyes containing indigo group for increasing light resistance and various anchoring groups for improving interaction were designed and prepared. Cyanoacrylic acid and acrylic acid were employed as anchoring groups. All intermediates and dyes were purified and analyzed using analytical techniques. The results show that all expected chemical structures of dyes were achieved. Two semiconductors namely TiO۲ and ZnO were selected for photoanode preparation and all dyes were coated on them. All prepared samples illustrated a blue shift in UV-Visible due to J-aggregation of dyes on the semiconductor. The CV and DFT results confirmed the application of synthesized dyes in the structure of DSSCs. The prepared dyes were applied in DSSCs structure as photosensitizers. The efficiency of photosensitizer containing cyanoacrylic acid in DSSCs based on TiO۲ and ZnO is ۴.۲۲ and ۵.۱۶, respectively. The results show that the performance of DSSCs based on TiO۲ is better than of DSSCs based on ZnO. The results show that cyanoacrylic acid is a better anchoring group compared to acrylic acid.
