چکیده مقاله:

Objective This study aimed to assess the effect of healthy lifestyle training package based on the lived experience of substance abusers on mental health. Methods The current study was performed in three stages on males and females receiving outpatient treatment for opioid addiction in the city of Isfahan in ۲۰۲۱. The first stage intended to achieve an in-depth understanding of the lifestyle of the study population, followed by a literature review to extend the understanding of the research topic. Lastly, an experiment was performed on ۷۰ subjects equally distributed into two groups of control and intervention Data collection tools included the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ). Data analysis was administered using independent t-test, paired t-test, and MANCOVA. Statistical significance was considered when p-value<۰.۰۵. Findings: A total of ۷۰ subjects participated in this study, equally distributed to intervention and control groups. ۷(۱۰.۶%) were females and ۵۹(۸۹.۴%) males, with a mean age of ۳۶.۲۹± ۸.۵۸۸ years. While the total score of GHQ is reduced for both groups, those in the intervention group experienced a higher decrease, which was also statistically significant. Conclusion Regarding the increasing prevalence of drug abuse in the country, it is necessary to find effective strategies. The developed training package successfully improved participants' mental health.
