چکیده مقاله:

According to the standards, instructions, and regulations for the classification and coding of watersheds and study areas at the national level, the country is divided into six major hydrological regions. Tehran province is covered by parts of two watersheds: the Caspian Sea and the Central Plateau. However, the majority of the province is located within the Salt Lake basin, covering ۶۹% of the province's area. The Alborz Mountain range in the northern part of the province provides favorable conditions for rainfall and the formation of perennial and abundant rivers. Several permanent and seasonal rivers exist in Tehran, which are utilized for irrigation, drinking, and industrial purposes. The Hablehroud, Shour River, Abhar River, Lar River, Jajrood, Talqan (Shahrud) River, and Karaj River are among the most important surface water flows in the province. This study examines the hydrology of the watersheds in Tehran, including the status of rainfall, wind, and the locations of synoptic stations.
