Educational Approaches in Digital Games: An Opportunity to Enhance the Entrepreneurial Mindset in Higher Education

With the emergence of new educational technologies, digital games have attracted special attention in the higher education system as an effective tool for strengthening entrepreneurial mindset. This study aimed to investigate the effect of digital game-based educational approaches on cultivating students' entrepreneurial skills through a systematic review using the PRISMA protocol. Searches were conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, Wiley, ProQuest, and ResearchGate databases with keywords such as 'Digital Games', 'Cultivating Entrepreneurial Mindset', and 'Students'. In this process, ۱۳۷ articles were identified and after screening, ۱۱ articles were selected according to the research criteria. The findings indicate that digital games provide an interactive and safe platform for learning by simulating real-world entrepreneurial challenges. These approaches strengthen key skills such as strategic decision-making, resource management, creative thinking, and teamwork, and make the learning process more attractive by increasing motivation and participation. Also, experiential learning has been identified as the most effective approach to developing entrepreneurial skills. The results of this study emphasize the importance of integrating digital games with appropriate educational approaches and highlight the need for further research to improve and expand these educational tools in higher education.
