The primary aim of this study was to explore how integrating multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) affects the mechanical and thermal characteristics of fiber-reinforced composites. These MWCNTs were applied to the surface of the fibers, serving as an additional reinforcement phase. Both the MWCNT-enhanced fibers and the unaltered fibers underwent evaluation through single-fiber tensile testing, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Various composite specimens, specifically those combining pure fiber with MWCNT-enhanced fiber, were produced using compression molding techniques and subsequently assessed for their mechanical and thermal attributes. The fiber surfaces post-testing were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The findings indicated that incorporating MWCNTs into the fibers significantly improved their properties, enhancing both the modified fibers and their composites. This addition also raised the thermal stability of the natural fibers and their composite forms.
