چکیده مقاله:
In this paper we consider reducing energy consumption of household refrigerators, by placing the condenser exposed to outside temperature. Using empirical data, the relation between required energy and outside temperature is modelled mathematically. Based on the constructed model, the amount of reduction will be deduced for some cities with different average yearly temperatures. As an example, for a big city like Tehran with average yearly temperature of ۱۷°C, the reduction is calculated to be about ۲۰%, which is appreciable considering its population. Some approaches to reach the practicality of this idea will be discussed at the end but the details are to be done in future studies.
