چکیده مقاله:

Decentralized Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) presents a compelling solution to the pressing global water security challenge, particularly in regions reliant on upstream dam infrastructure. By strategically storing excess water during periods of abundance and releasing it during periods of scarcity, ASR can effectively mitigate the adverse impacts of droughts and floods, enhance water quality, and safeguard delicate ecosystems. This research delves into the fundamental principles, potential benefits, and inherent challenges of decentralized ASR, exploring its applicability within upstream dam areas. Key findings underscore the imperative for supportive policies, robust financial mechanisms, and technical expertise to overcome obstacles and maximize the potential of decentralized ASR. By promoting the widespread adoption of this innovative water management strategy, we can contribute significantly to a more sustainable and resilient water future.
