چکیده مقاله:
In this paper, we review the existing literature around the science of interchange design, and its most studied implementations, and compare some novel designs alongside the most popular proposals. First off, we determine what the most important design goals should be, i.e. to lower the economic costs, to respect safety factors, to increase the level of service, and to guarantee long-term maintainability. Afterward, two emerging interchange types, the ITL Interchange, and the W-Interchange are introduced and compared to more common interchanges such as the Cloverleaf Interchange, the Diamond Interchange, the Single Point Urban Interchange (SPUI), and the Michigan Urban Diamond Interchange (MUDI).
