چکیده مقاله:
The application of color in architectural and interior design, particularly in healthcare environments, has attracted considerable scientific interest due to its profound psychological and physiological effects. This study examines the role of color in hospital inpatient departments, highlighting its impact on patient well-being, recovery, and overall experience. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and an analytical descriptive method, the research delineates how different color schemes can create calming atmospheres, reduce stress, and enhance patient comfort. Cool colors like blue and green are associated with tranquility and are effective in lowering stress levels, while warm colors like red and orange, although energizing, may not be suitable for rest and recovery areas due to their stimulating effects. Additionally, color plays a crucial functional role in hospitals, aiding wayfinding, delineating functional areas, and contributing to infection control through clear zoning. The findings underscore the importance of incorporating evidence-based color theory into healthcare design to optimize both patient well-being and facility efficiency.
