This review article examines the intricate relationship between education policies and lifelong learning, highlighting the essential role of coherent and comprehensive policies in fostering an environment conducive to continuous personal and professional development. The study identifies significant gaps in the literature regarding the alignment of education policies with lifelong learning principles and outlines disparities in policy implementation across different regions and educational sectors. Key findings indicate that effective policies prioritize flexible learning pathways, inclusivity, and the recognition of prior learning, which collectively contribute to establishing a lifelong learning mindset. The review emphasizes the impact of global, technological, and demographic changes on educational frameworks, urging policymakers to adopt relevant and responsive policies to evolving societal needs. In conclusion, the article advocates for strategic recommendations, including the need for integrated policy frameworks, continuous professional development for educators, and community engagement in policy formulation. By addressing these aspects, the review aspires to inform future research and policy initiatives that effectively support lifelong learning, ultimately enhancing individual growth and societal advancement in an increasingly complex world.
