Intensive English programs involve delivering a considerable number of instructional hours within a condensed timeframe. The literature on these programs shows varied outcomes, warranting further exploration. This study examined the effects of an intensive English program on a group of Iranian high school students (n=۳۰) using a single group quasi-experimental design. A paired samples t-test was employed to analyze the students' performance before and after the four-week program. The results demonstrated that the students scored significantly higher (p = .۰۰۰ < .۰۵) in the post-test. These findings have important implications for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers, researchers, and curriculum developers in Iran. Further studies are recommended to confirm and generalize the results.
