چکیده مقاله:
During the COVID-۱۹ outbreak, fogged goggles posed a significant issue for healthcare professionals. People wearing masks had their glasses steaming up. While there are currently various methods to prevent fogging through modifications in surface wettability, many super-hydrophilic antifogging coatings tend to have weak mechanical properties. As a result, they can easily lose their antifogging capabilities when subjected to friction from fingers or cloth. Transparent materials like glass and certain polymers are crucial in our everyday lives, serving essential functions in items such as mirrors, windows, car windshields, and eyewear. Beyond these common uses, they are also integral to various sectors, including medical, photovoltaic, and food industries. However, a significant issue arises from the condensation of water vapor on these surfaces, leading to fogging under normal conditions. This phenomenon is more than just a minor inconvenience; it can severely impact optical clarity, diminishing light transmission and raising aesthetic, hygiene, and safety concerns. As a result, there has been an increasing interest in developing anti-fogging technologies, especially in recent years, due to their wide range of potential applications. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in the creation and production of anti-fogging surfaces, starting with an explanation of the fogging process, which involves the nucleation and growth of water droplets.
