چکیده مقاله:
Global energy consumption is steadily rising with population growth, leading to a decline in non-renewable energy sources such as fossil fuels. This reduction contributes to environmental issues, prompting a shift towards renewable energy sources. Among these, solar energy is viewed as a significant option due to its abundance, cleanliness, and inexhaustibility, as well as its minimal environmental impact. In recent years, various methodologies have been developed to harness solar energy, including solar architecture, solar heating, and photovoltaics, with a particular focus on photovoltaics due to its ability to convert sunlight into electricity. Solar cells, the devices that produce electricity from solar energy, are classified into three generations: first-generation (wafer-based), second-generation (thin film), and third-generation (organic structures). While first and second-generation solar cells have been widely used, their high costs, complex manufacturing processes, and environmental concerns have led scientists to search for new, cost-effective, and eco-friendly solar cell materials. In conclusion, flexible solar cells represent a groundbreaking advancement in solar technology, offering versatile and efficient solutions for harnessing solar energy across various weather conditions. Their lightweight and adaptable design enables integration into a wide range of applications, from portable electronics to building-integrated photovoltaics. As the demand for sustainable energy solutions continues to grow, flexible solar cells provide a viable path forward, maximizing energy capture even when traditional solar panels may fall short. Continued research and development in this field will enhance their efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness, paving the way for broader adoption and contribution to a cleaner, renewable energy landscape. Embracing flexible solar technology is not just a smart choice; it is a necessary step toward optimizing solar energy use in our changing environment.
