چکیده مقاله:

In today’s organizational environments, employees across various companies and sectors face significant pressures, both individually and at the organizational level, leading to increased stress. This stress often manifests through job dissatisfaction, burnout, frustration, and can even lead to resignation. Contributing factors include job responsibilities, managerial pressure, official obligations, and uncertainties within the organization. At the same time, employees can leverage certain resources within their control to help manage these demands. The sample organizations were selected through a random sampling technique and included three small-scale IT units from Pune and three from Chandigarh. The total sample consisted of approximately ۳۰۰ respondents, with ۱۵۰ employees from Pune and ۱۵۰ from Chandigarh. A stratified random sampling method was used to select the individual respondents. This descriptive study examines the ranking of stress-inducing factors among Information Technology (IT) employees, with a focus on two key cities: Pune and Chandigarh. According to our findings, the primary stressors for IT employees include workload, inadequate salary, time pressures and deadlines, lack of job security, and limited career development opportunities. These factors have emerged as the most significant contributors to occupational stress in the IT sector in both locations.
